Welcome to the Main Street 'Hood (click on this link and also join your local village) of Village Vancouver! We also have a FaceBook page here. Like us!
If you are on the east side of Mount Pleasant, Transition Cedar Cottage is also reasonably active. Of course, the activity of each village of Village Vancouver depends on its members and their ideas. We have a monthly potluck and program at Little Mountain Neighbourhood House (at 24th Ave on Main Street) always on the first Tuesday of the month. So, in two weeks on March 4th from 6 to 8 we'll be meeting for a low-key community supper and a workshop...ah, but the topic for next month escapes me just now. I think it will be on the Sharing Economy with the founder of the Tool Library, Chris Diplock. Next month in April we'll be sharing seeds and seedlings/starts (free!) for most anything you'd like to grow. We'll also be discussing and showing ways to get things to grow indoors and out in Mount Pleasant.
I think our seed library will be there in March if you want to get a head start on your garden.
Check for more activities, averaging at least one a day on our events page.
Hope to see you around the 'hood!
Randy, Village Vancouver Co-Founder and Main Street 'Hood Convenor
