Drop off your clean plastics at our monthly recycling depot! The recycling depot is organized by VV, Kits Village Vancouver, Westside Neighbourhood Food Network and Kits Community Centre. This event is held on the 2nd or 3rd Thursday of the month. Please pre-sort your plastics.
Location: Kits Community Centre, 2690 Larch. The depot is held on the patio outside of the south entrance to the community centre, immediately north of 12th and Larch. Drop off your clean plastics at our free monthly recycling depot. Optionally, please RSVP to admin@villagevancouver.org.
Recycling categories:
1. Soft Plastics (i.e. any plastic bags, wraps, or packaging)
2. Hard Plastics (i.e.any hard plastics #1 thru #7, but w/metal parts etc. removed)
3. Styrofoam (white)
4. Styrofoam (other colours)
5. Foam Blocks (non-styrofoam)
6. Packing Foam Chips and Peanuts
7. Composite (category combining foil. paper/poly, plastic, including, for example, packaging with paper label - e.g.bakery and cheeses - and bubble wrap envelopes)
+++Wax lined beverage containers are no longer accepted at the depot - these can go in the blue box.
Sort your stuff before you come to the depot and arrive no later than 6:45. (Please note that we can't accept anything before 6 pm.)
Our August depot will be on Thursday, August 20th.
