*April plastic recycling in Kits

This month's plastics recycling in Kits will take place on Thursday April 17th from 6:30-7;30 pm. Please come by and drop off your plastics for recycling during that time. We will take any plastics (soft, hard, styrofoam as well as tetrapacks and milk cartons, no numbers needed), but please make sure that it is clean and that any metal parts have been removed.

The categories are: 1) soft plastics, i.e. any plastic bags, wraps or packaging, 2) hard plastics, i.e. any hard plastics, but w/metal parts etc. removed, 3) styrofoam blocks, 4) styrofoam containers, i.e. cups and food take out containers, 5) styrofoam peanuts and other "soft" styrofoam, 6) wax lined beverage containers, 7) milk cartons (separate from other beverage containers), 8) foil lined bags packaging and wraps). Please sort your plastics before you come by.

Please note that our grant has run out and we're awaiting word on the new one, so we'll need to collect a few dollars from you to cover the cost of pickup by the recycling company. Cost is based on how much you have  to recycle -- for example, a full 30 gallon bag runs $5; smaller amounts are less.
