Esperanza,
We dont' yet have an active "Village" in Fairview, but feel free to join another Village on its group page; they are all listed under the Villages pull-down menu above. Main Street Neighbourhood (click here), for instance, has monthly potlucks at Little Mountain Neighbourhood House (like Kits House) on the first Tuesday of the month. Next month, it is on the 6th, from 6 to 8 PM and will feature a presentation on beekeeping (and I hope an actual visit by a beehive).
Meanwhile, there are dozens of active groups doing everything from seed saving (as you know) to creating new community gardens. We even have an active arts group, with a lantern-building workshop this Sunday evening.
Join us anywhere!
Randy
Welcome to Village, Esperanza!
