Village Vancouver

Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities

We'd like to have some chickens at our VV booth at Strathcona Harvest Fest, Sun Sept 22, noon-4

They're always a big hit with kids, and our usual chicken folks (Duncan, etc.) can't make it that day. If you have some chickens and would like to bring them, answer some questions about chicken keeping, etc. let me know here or at ross@villagevancouver.ca. If you need something to put them in, we might be able to borrow a small coop. (Anyone want to offer one?)

I have a a fold-up coop that takes 5 minutes to assemble and can fit on any car or on a bike trailer. It's like a chicken tractor (was at car free days). I can arrange with someone to pick it up.

Cool, Duncan!

We're still looking for someone to do this! (And if you're worried about being able to answer questions...don't be! Folks are mainly interested in hearing about your experiences keeping chickens, Village can help answer questions, and there will be some written info there with answers to common questions.)

Thanks, Duncan for offering your fold-up coop, but no one has offered to bring chickens, so it looks like no chickens at the Harvest Fest this year. :-(
