WHAT: This is a 6-week course at Langara College, entitled Global Perspectives on Community Development, for anyone who is interested in learning about philosophies and practices of social transformation, activism, and self-reliance as exemplified through examples from the Global South and Indigenous peoples.
Using Ghandianism as a starting point we will explore revolutionary and transformative social movements, non-intervention, and national development that is guided by communities themselves.
