Holiday Canning - Gifts in a Jar

This class will teach the basics of canning and preserving food while focusing on items that are great gift ideas for the coming holiday season. Does your Grandma’s jam live in legend – only? Do you have the recipe but don’t know how to “put it up”?

Let us help you recreate the delicious canned goods you remember or imagine for your pantry!

No experience necessary. You will learn all the basics including supplies and kitchen prep, how to prep fruits & veggies, the water-bath canning method, and other tips & strategies for canning at home! All participants will walk away with a sampling of jalapeno or red-pepper jelly made during the evening. We will also be doing a small demonstration on how to bottle your very own flavored vinegars.

Pre-registration is required.  Payment is required a week in advance of the class to ensure your spot. We can accept paypal or cheque. 50% of payment will be refunded should you need to cancel.
