Hope you can make it out to Richmond for a great talk & some amazing food.
Purchasing food in quantity & dividing it amongst friends & family is one way to combat the recent spike in food prices. Ross Moster, founder of Village Vancouver, will speak on food buying co-ops.
Ross has been involved with food co-ops since the 1970's. He managed an organic co-op grocery in Venice Beach, California for 20 years & served on the boards of various statewide co-operatives. He sits on the board of NOW BC Co-op & is a member of the Vancouver Food Policy Council.
Family-friendly potlucks take place on 1st Fridays. Bring a favourite dish to share.
Evening hosted by Richmond Food Security Society along w/ Richmond Fruit Tree Sharing Project & Richmond Farm School. Members of each organization will be on hand to meet community members and answer questions about food projects in Richmond. Cutlery, bowls & plates will be provided & a microwave is available.
Village engages individuals, neighbourhoods & organizations to take actions that build sustainable communities & have fun doing it. Join us!
