chickens - want one? or two?

Hello, We are going travelling for 7 months and need to find a home for some chickens. One, Mathilda is a good layer, easy going. An Astralorp, another, Ophelia is a dear old Orpington.. a beautiful chicken but doesn;t lay often. The other two, Beatrice -the Head chick.. quite a character, quite dominant.. a reasonable layer is a Barred Rock.. and the last one Brucie another Astrolorp, but doesn;t often lay. Anyway.. Interested in participating in a VV garden? We have 9 collaborative gardens and garden spaces in 5 neighbourhoods (Grandview Woodland, Kits, Strathcona, W. Point Grey, and the West End). New gardeners are welcome. 

For more information, contact us at gardening@villagevancouver.org. Gardening now in progress. New gardeners welcome (space allowing). Sign-up on the VRAC website for gardening at the Kitsilano Community Garden and at the Aberthau Community Garden.
