- There's a saying that "Transition is not a spectator sport". It's true! Village Vancouver runs on people power, and engaging in activities and projects together helps us accomplish more. Which groups, networks, neighbourhood villages, or projects do you think you might be interested in getting involved with? And what knowledge, skills, resources or other assets can you bring to the mix? (Don't be bashful!)

- I think the idea of making neighborhoods more self reliant is interesting especially regarding food production but also in terms of general sustainability ( walkability, water conservation).

Interested in participating in a VV garden? We have 9 collaborative gardens and garden spaces in 5 neighbourhoods (Grandview Woodland, Kits, Strathcona, W. Point Grey, and the West End). New gardeners are welcome.
For more information, contact us at gardening@villagevancouver.org. Gardening now in progress. New gardeners welcome (space allowing). Sign-up on the VRAC website for gardening at the Kitsilano Community Garden and at the Aberthau Community Garden.

Welcome to VV. Why don't you join the Dunbar Transition Villlage. There are quite a few of us and we've been organizing a number of activities.
We've just held our first film night and have another one scheduled for Dec 9. We'll be showing Good Food, about the sustainable agriculture movement in the Pacific Northwest.
There's a cheese making workshop scheduled for Jan 22 and a regular movie night every 3rd Thursday starting in January at St. Philips Church.
We've got some other projects on the burner and would love to have your input.
