Mark's Pet Stop at 1875  Commercial Drive is a great place to get feed if you don't want to drive into the valley. They stock organic layer mash (at standard price of about $20 /bag) and will bring in any other regular items if you call ahead. I will be asking to have some scratch and diatomaceous earth. Maybe oyster shells as well.

While there may be other places stocking feed, I wanted to put in a good word for this store as it is in the neighborhood and they are truly nice people and really willing to help us urban chicken folks. Thumbs up! Thumbs up!

I asked him about DE as well. Great job Laura! We could go in on a big bag of DE if necessary, and then it will be available for people to get smaller amounts. (Does anyone actually already have wood ash?)

They do have DE in a bottle (WT? but it says "bird-safe) at Magnet Hardware on Graveley.

Anyone want to have a Commercial Drive chicken meet-up?
Thanks for this Laura - I was just running out of feed, and I don't have a car. This place will do the trick!
