Backyard chickens workshop in Surrey on Saturday

This seems too good to be true! 4 hour workshop, includes lunch, and once you prove you have a coop, you also get 3 pullets and a bag o' feed! All for a measly $35.
My husband and I are signed up...seems like a perfect intro to backyard hens
Another workshop is offered in mid August

Coordinator told me: pullets were hatched from our own heritage breeds including Black Australorp, Brown Leghorn, Ameracauna, and several others.

Interested in participating in a VV garden? We have 9 collaborative gardens and garden spaces in 5 neighbourhoods (Grandview Woodland, Kits, Strathcona, W. Point Grey, and the West End). New gardeners are welcome. 

For more information, contact us at gardening@villagevancouver.org. Gardening now in progress. New gardeners welcome (space allowing). Sign-up on the VRAC website for gardening at the Kitsilano Community Garden and at the Aberthau Community Garden.
