Free workshop Oct. 20th: Community Money for Community Food

I would like to invite you all to join me for a Village Vancouver-sponsored workshop to explore the exciting possibility of creating a more local, just and sustainable food economy in Vancouver with the aid of a food-centred community currency!

This free workshop will take place on Thursday, October 20th from 7-9pm at the Strathcona Community Centre. Here is the workshop description:

Some of our economic system’s deepest flaws are lain bare in the vital matters of food production and distribution. Could a new form of money – community currency – help change the economics of food? Join us for an exploratory look at the possibilities for a more just, local and environmentally friendly food economy.
