Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
Hi all,
This just came in my mailbox this morning - looks like a great opportunity for someone in our neighbourhood who is already doing urban farming or who wants to do so!

Hi all -- I have an offer to pass on that's too good to refuse. In December I did a drain tile replacement around a house at Grant and Salisbury. Afterward, Lara, the owner, became very interested in converting the mess of a yard into an urban farm. So she had us turn it into just that- minus the crops. That's where you come in.
If this sounds familiar, I think she posted this a while ago when it was a messy yard and talked tentatively to a couple of folks. It's now fertile, tilled, mulched (see pictures). I even went and spread some horse manure at the bottom of the beds. So get in touch with her if interested!

Hello.
We recently redid our drain tiles which trashed our garden. Given that our yard was a blank canvas after that we re-thought how we wanted to make use of the space and became very interested in CSA programs.
Our space has now been levelled and landscaped and is ready for a farmer.

What I want to do is to offer our land for food production to a group or an organization who is running a business (for profit). In trade I would like a box of food a week during growing season.
If you are interested in farming the space let me know. We are located in the commercial drive area.
