Vancouver's Leader in Transition toward Strong, Resilient, Complete Communities
A new policy at the City of Vancouver means that the cost of permitting a PV system in Vancouver is 6 times the cost of an equivalent system in Toronto.
Please consider contacting the City of Vancouver and asking them to take a better approach to solar energy.

"I was disappointed to learn that the cost of permitting a photovoltaic (PV) system in Vancouver is 6 times the cost of an equivalent system in Toronto. Local generation of electricity through photovoltaic systems helps Vancouver meet its Greenest City goals and supports the local clean-tech sector. Please consider adopting guidelines similar to Toronto, Seattle, Colwood and San Jose for building permits. Also please consider adopting flat-fee reduced price electrical permitting for PV systems similar to Toronto. For more information visit: http://www.spec.bc.ca/SolarBP "
