Event Description
Get to know some of Vancouver’s most common weeds intimately. There is food and medicine all around us, and this introductory workshop will give you the knowledge to begin wildcrafting. Participants will learn how to positively identify a few key plants, and how to use them at home for food and medicine. There will be plant samples and demonstrations. Additionally, you’ll leave with a plant info handout, recipe, and best of all – a new perspective on weeds!
Monica Juhas of Garden Understories is a long time professional gardener who pulls weeds... and then eats them!
