Event Description

Learn what organic gardening is, and how to start growing your own fresh
and healthy food. This general overview will cover soil preparation and
improvement, plant nutrition and fertilizers, crop planning, proper watering, and
general pest prevention and management.

Interested in participating in a VV garden? We have 9 collaborative gardens and garden spaces in 5 neighbourhoods (Grandview Woodland, Kits, Strathcona, W. Point Grey, and the West End). New gardeners are welcome. 

For more information, contact us at gardening@villagevancouver.org. Gardening now in progress. New gardeners welcome (space allowing). Sign-up on the VRAC website for gardening at the Kitsilano Community Garden and at the Aberthau Community Garden.
