Step into the steamy forests of Ecuador and explore the rich diversity of orchids through the creative lens of Ron Long. Ron’s passion for plants, photography and adventure is long established, and guaranteed to make for an exciting evening of stunning photographs and engaging stories. Ron spent 20 days in Ecuador with an expert orchid guide, climbing and searching for hidden botanical treasures and rare species of orchids, some of which are a mere 3 mm wide! Ron’s talk this evening will combine his images of orchids with other plants, birds, colourful markets and local costumes to give us a full Ecuadorian experience.
