- Learn about library resources for newcomers
- Learn about job opportunities at Vancouver Public - Library and about Friends of VPL program
- Meet an immigrant who is working at your local library
- Share your experiences living and working in Vancouver
About the Initiative: Welcoming Newcomers Cedar Cottage Program is led by Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House in partnership with four local community agencies. Each month a different community agency will host a learning exchange session where both community agency and newcomers will have an opportunity to learn from each other. The Program is a part of Building Welcoming & Inclusive Neighbourhood Initiative delivered by 14 Neighbourhood Houses in the Lower Mainland and funded by the Province of British Columbia.
