Celebrate our bees with local writers and beekeepers! Poetry readings by Heidi Greco, local poet, and Renée Sarojini Saklikar, award winning poet, creative writing instructor, and Surrey’s first ever Poet Laureate. Readings by Dr. Mark Winston, renowned bee scientist and SFU professor, author of “Bee Time: Lessons from the Hive”, winner of the Governor General’s Literary Award (2015) for non-fiction. Presentation and honey tasting with the Surrey Beekeepers Association. The event takes place Tuesday, March 15 7:00 - 8:30 PM (Doors open at 6:30pm) at City Centre Library,10350 University Drive, Surrey, BC, room 120. This event is sponsored by the City of Surrey and the SFU Centre for Dialogue.
