Want to be able to grow delicious, nutrient-dense food year round in a small space? Look no further! Microgreens have been gaining popularity in recent years because they are a great way to grow vegetables and herbs when space and weather are an issue (sound like Vancouver?). Microgreens grow quickly and are perfect to have on hand in the kitchen – they make delicious additions to salads, sandwiches, smoothies, soups and sauces. Learn how to go beyond “alfalfa” and enjoy a wide variety of nutritious, truly “home-grown” veggies and herbs. Participants will take home handouts with tips and resources, as well as sprouting seeds to start growing in their microgreen mini farms.
Village engages individuals, neighbourhoods & organizations to take actions that build sustainable communities & have fun doing it. Join us!
