Do you live within the Cedar Cottage, Frog Hollow or Kiwassa Neighbourhood House areas?  Do you have great ideas to improve your neighbourhood or bring people together, but need a little support to help make them happen? Then you might want apply for a Neighbourhood Small Grant!

Neighbourhood Small Grants are funded by the Vancouver Foundation.  The grants allow groups of two or more neighbours to apply for $50 - $500 to work together on small projects that benefit their neighbourhoods socially, physically, culturally or environmentally. All kinds of projects can receive funding.  For example, you could paint a mural, plant a neighbourhood garden, teach a cooking or art class, put up a community bulletin board, celebrate a cultural holiday, host a music recital, hold a dialogue or talking circle, share a craft or skill, or have a block party.

Deadline for submissions is April 30th, 2012.

For further information and project guidelines, please see the attached poster and brochure. To apply, complete the attached Application Form and drop it off at your local Neighbourhood House.

For questions, please contact nsg.east@gmail.com. For more information or to download the Application Form in Spanish, Vietnamese, Tagalog or Chinese, you can visit:  www.cedarcottage.orgwww.kiwassa.ca or www.froghollow.bc.ca.

And please consider forwarding this email or printing off a poster (see attached) to put up in your organization, apartment building or on a nearby bulletin board.  Thanks!
