Leah Price, Certified Master Recycler, board member with Our Social Fabric (textile recycling initiative), artist, writer and mother presents a zero waste art show "DIVORCE: a Waste Audit."
The pieces in this collection are made entirely from the waste created by her family over the course of a six-month implosion, including anything from the recycling box, plus medical waste, and items discarded while clearing out their Kitsilano home of eighteen years.
Themes include: parenting children with special needs, mental health issues, divorce, recycling and waste management, and the Vancouver affordable housing crisis.
Proceeds to the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research.
Leah was interviewed last year on Seamwork Magazine's Podcast, entitled The Opposite of Creative Block.
