DESCRIPTION:Hi All,\nIt has been proposed to put a seawall or other in
 vasive structure on the last remaining natural foreshore in Vancouver 
 between Kitsilano and Jericho Beaches. This area is a repository for l
 ife. When you put through a walkway you damage that fragile ecosystem.
  Equally important it is a space where peopee can go to be in nature a
 nd have a quiet and reflective experience.\nI've organized a walkabout
  of our precious natural foreshore led by experts. This walkabout will
  be held on Saturday, August 4 at 1:30 - 3:30pm. We will meet at the s
 tairway to the foreshore in the park at Trafalgar St & Point Grey Rd. 
 (2 blks east of Macdonald).\nSo far we have a botanist, a geologist an
 d a marine biologist leading us. Other experts may well come also. The
  purpose of this walk would be to help inform all of us about the cons
 equences to the foreshore of imposing a structure along this area.\nIt
  should be a wonderful learning experience and a fun event. Hope you c
