 ca/find-us/\nThis event is being organized by the Ecologies of Social 
 Difference Social Justice Thematic Network at the University of Britis
 h Columbia. Our network aims to promote research, outreach, and discus
 sion on key issues at the intersection of nature, conservation and soc
 ial justice concerns. We see the ongoing activities related to making 
 Vancouver 'the Greenest City' as a key opportunity to explore some of 
 the social justice dimensions of these efforts.\nOur evening panel hop
 es to initiate conversations between the academic community at UBC, ke
 y policy makers and community activists and thinkers who are working o
 n different dimensions of Vancouver's Greenest City effort. The event 
 includes panel discussion, a facilitated Q and A and a reception after
 wards.\nPANELISTS:\nJordan Bober is a New Economist who devotes himsel
 f to the evolution of a regenerative, socially just economy by conveni
 ng events, speaking and teaching, and by running a Vancouver-based com
 munity currency called Seedstock.\nMelanie Conn is a long-time activis
 t with women, co-operatives and community economic development. She is
  also a founding director of the Women’s Economic Council.\nStephani
 e Lim is the coordinator of the Renfrew Collingwood Food Security Inst
 itute, and a founding member of the Neighbourhood Food Network Working
  Group.\nDr. Robert Vanwynsberghe is an Assistant Professor in the Dep
 artment of Educational Studies at the University of British Columbia. 
 His research expertise is in sustainability and the related areas of s
