DESCRIPTION:Join leaders of the Transition movement in Vancouver for a
  2-day workshop and dialogue introducing the principles, steps and les
 sons of the successful Transition Town model of local response to glob
 al challenges.\n\nWhat are the lessons for activists and concerned cit
 izens?\n\nHow can we increase resilience in every neighbourhood?\n\nWh
 at are the ways we might collaborate to get the impacts that are neede
 d?\n\nThe Transition Towns Movement was initiated over four years ago 
 in Totnes, UK so citizens could take action and adapt their lives to p
 eak oil and climate change. The movement has spread very quickly aroun
 d the globe. The Transition Network was formed to support initiatives 
 around the world; there are now over 300 official recognized initiativ
 es, including seventeen in Canada. (And over a thousand others worldwi
 de \"mulling it over.\")\n\nVillage Vancouver (VV) is the official Tra
 nsition Hub for Metropolitan Vancouver. Within VV, there are a number
