DESCRIPTION:Part of VV's As We Know It food and culture project.\r\nCo
 me learn how to make your own traditional, fermented sauerkraut with A
 lyssa Kohlman. Fermented vegetables have many health benefits, includi
 ng live enzymes, readily available vitamins and minerals, and probioti
 cs -- and sauerkraut and other fermented vegetables are suitable for 
 everyone!  If possible, each person should bring a large knife, cutti
 ng board, large bowl, and a 500ml-size wide-mouth mason jar with lid.Â
  Participants will go home with a jar of sauerkraut to ferment at home
 ., \r\nToday's event includes a short discussion about traditional an
 d contemporary foods with As We Know It artist Yi Stropky.\r\nVV will 
 have a seed library present - you can get some free seeds for your g
 arden or swap or donate some seeds.\r\nSuggested donation: $15 ($7 cos
