 omputer.\nMy name is MENEŦIYE, I am from the WSÁNEĆ people on South
 ern Vancouver Island. Our territory is on Southern Vancouver Island bu
 t also throughout the Gulf Islands as well. I am a SENĆOŦEN language
  apprentice at the L̵ÁU,WELṈEW̱ Tribal School and work at the Sha
 w Ocean Discovery Centre. I am a young person who has listened to the 
 stories and teachings of my elders, I am looking forward to sharing wi
 th you what I can. During our day together I would like to tell you ab
 out the history of my people in the ṮELEṮÁĆES (gulf islands), th
 e knowledge that we carry about the life within it, and some of the me
 dicinal uses of the plant life within my territory. We will spend the 
 day exploring the land surrounding Foxglove Farm looking at the differ
 ent species of plants, and what they were used for by my people. I am 
 going to talk about the 13 moon calendar that the W_SÁNEĆ People liv
 e by, the changes that are happening with the land and how we can work
  together to keep the cycle intact and at the same pace it has been at
  for so many years. At the end of the day we will set up a pit cook, f
