Presented in partnership with Bomber Brewing, this will be a f ocused look at the ingredients in beer, and why and how they have been used through a global, historical perspective. Learn why women were o nce the only people allowed to brew beer, see hops with a closer lens to find the oils and resins on the female flowers, taste malted (germi nated) barley, and understand the plant-based language of beer flavour profiling. The first evening will be an interactive talk at VanDusen, including sampling beer brewed specifically by Bomber Brewing with in gredients harvested from the Garden.
