 oalition are hosting Dr. Kent Mullinix from Kwantlen Polytechnic Unive
 rsity’s Institute for Sustainable Food System (ISFS).ISFS investigat
 es and supports regional food systems as key elements of sustainable c
 ommunities. Dr. Kent Mullinix will be sharing results of the Southwest
  BC Bioregion Food System Design Project. This four-year multi-discipl
 inary research project provides information on food production and pro
 cessing for local markets, job creation and other benefits to the prov
 incial economy, and the potential to reduce some detrimental environme
 ntal impacts from food production. This event takes place April 19 in 
 the Dr. Ambedkar Room at Surrey City Centre Library, 10350 University 
 Drive. Doors open at 6:00pm, event starts at 6:30pm. This event is fre
