DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: The instructor is sick, so we're going to reschedu
 le this.\n\nThis workshop is almost full.\n\nLearn how to make your ow
 n traditional, fermented sauerkraut (spicy version available) in this 
 Village Vancouver ElderGreens workshop with Alyssa Kohlman. Fermented 
 vegetables have many health benefits, including live enzymes, readily 
 available vitamins and minerals, and probiotics -- and sauerkraut and 
 other fermented vegetables are suitable for everyone (vegetarian, vega
 n, Paleo, gluten free). Please bring a wide-mouth 500ml mason jar, cut
 ting board, large knife, and large bowl if you're able to, and wear cl
 othes you don't mind preparing food in. Participants will go home with
  a jar of Customized sauerkraut to ferment at home.\nAdults and famili
 es with children 10 years and older are welcome. All minors must be ac
 companied by a caregiver. We'll have a Community Seed Library present 
 - you can get some free seeds for your garden or swap or donate some s
 eeds. This workshop is by donation ($0 - $10), plus a $7 materials fee

 ARDEN PROJECT Located behind the Mansion, just off of NW Marine Dr, an
 d hosted by Village Vancouver, the garden includes VV’s Demonstratio
 n Permaculture Garden, the WPG Preschool Garden and art/garden project
 s by artists-in-residence LocoMotoArt: Laura Lee Coles and Rob Scharei
 n.Emphasizing permaculture design elements, including a small hugelkul
 tur, an herb spiral, planting pollinator attractants, and saving open 
 pollinated seeds, the garden offers fun, inclusive social, educational
 , culinary and cultural activities for community members. Enjoy free o
 r low-cost Wednesday evening cooking, fermenting and preserving demons
 trations, including sauerkraut, kefir, and tastes of Korea and India, 
 gardening workshops like early summer gardening, native edibles walks 
 and the seed savers club.\nIn the garden, newer gardeners garden colla
 boratively alongside more experienced gardeners at our Saturday work p
