DESCRIPTION:Garlic's easy to grow, can thrive in small spaces, and tas
 tes great homegrown! In this Village Vancouver workshop with Rhiannon 
 Johnson, we'll cover different types of garlic, soil, planting, care, 
 and what to expect. You'll learn how to grow garlic in your garden or 
 containers and take home some garlic cloves to plant. We'll have the 
 Aberthau Village Vancouver community seed library there - pick up some
  free seeds for your garden, swap or donate seeds. \r\n\r\nBy Donatio
 n: Sliding scale $0 - $12.50 suggested. Free for Seniors (50 and over)

 r\n\r\nABERTHAU GARDEN PROJECT Located behind the Mansion, just off of
  NW Marine Dr, and hosted by Village Vancouver, the garden includes VV
 ’s Demonstration Permaculture Garden, the WPG Preschool Garden and a
 rt/garden projects by artists-in-residence LocoMotoArt: Laura Lee Cole
 s and Rob Scharein. Emphasizing permaculture design elements, includin
 g a small hugelkultur, an herb spiral, planting pollinator attractants
 , and saving open pollinated seeds, the garden offers fun, inclusive s
 ocial, educational, culinary and cultural activities for community mem
 bers. Enjoy free or low-cost Wednesday evening cooking, fermenting and
  preserving demonstrations,, gardening workshops, native edibles walks
  and the seed savers club.\r\nIn the garden, newer gardeners garden co
 llaboratively alongside more experienced gardeners at our Saturday wor
 k parties, providing a learning experience for everyone. For more info
