DESCRIPTION:Class 3:\nSoil nutrient testing is an important management
  tool for farmers at all scales of production.  While some soil chara
 cteristics are observable, much more information can be discovered thr
 ough lab and measurement testing.\n \nThis hands-on class will focus 
 on how to take an effective soil sample, what to test for, and what to
  do once you get your test results.  We’ll get into the soil and pl
 ay with it to see what observable qualities of the soil we can disting
 uish.  The more we can learn to see in the field, the better we can m
 ake effective management decisions. This is a mostly outdoor class - s
 o be well dressed for the elements!\n \nDate: 1pm-4pm Saturday Febru
 ary 25th, 2012\nLocation: UBC Farm 6182 South Campus Road, Vancouver
