  well managed it can mean a bountiful crop for farmers and home garden
 ers alike. In this four part series on soil participants will start wi
 th the basic principles of soil formation, and learn how understanding
  soil properties ultimately leads to better management practices and h
 ealthy ecosystems. This course is intended for those folks interested 
 in learning about soils, and will deal with both the practical and tec
 hnical aspects of soil science. \nDate: 1pm-4pm Saturdays from Februa
 ry 11th to March 3rd.\nCost: $70 (+ registration fee) for all four cla
 sses or $20(+registration fee) for individual classes.  \n*Note: Part
