DESCRIPTION:The next plastic recycling collection will happen on Thurs
 day Sept 19 from 3:00 to 6:30pm at the Kits Westside Food (Pocket) Mar
 ket at 8th and Vine. Please come by to pick up some fresh veggies, and
  drop off your plastics! This is a great way to get to know your neigh
 bors and get rid of all the\nplastics that cannot be recycled through 
 the city program, i.e. plastic bags, wraps, styrofoam etc.\nAt the mar
 ket we will have several large plastic bags set up, one for each plast
 ic category 1) soft plastics, i.e. any plastic bags, wraps or packagin
 g, 2) hard plastics, i.e. any hard plastics, but w/metal parts etc. re
 moved, 3) styrofoam blocks, 4) styrofoam containers, i.e. cups and foo
 d take out containers, 5) styrofoam peanuts and other \"soft\" styrofo
 am,\n6) wax lined beverage containers, 7) milk cartons (separate from 
 other beverage containers), 8) foil lined bags packaging and wraps). T
 he plastics will be dropped off at the Pacific Mobile Depot\n(http://w
 ww.pacificmobiledepots.com). They charge a fee for plastic recycling, 
 but thanks to a Small Neighbourhood Grant we will recycle for free for
  the next few months!\nHere's how it works: BEFORE YOU ARRIVE: 1) Sort
  your plastics into the above eight categories. If you bring items tha
 t you do not know how to sort, please put those into a separate bag as
  well. 2) Only bring items that are CLEAN, i.e. no food products left 
 in any bags or containers, beverage containers will have to be rinsed 
 well and aired out, ESPECIALLY MILK CONTAINERS). WHEN YOU ARRIVE: Put 
 your plastics into the appropriate category bag. Ask organizers for he
