DESCRIPTION:The Cedar Cottage Food Network and Vancouver Public Librar
 y – Kensington are proud to present our third workshop in the 2016 S
 eedy Saturday series. During this workshop, participants will learn ab
 out the essentials of garden maintenance throughout the season includi
 ng watering (especially with summer restrictions on the way), harvesti
 ng, pest control, soil testing, and more! The instructor, Kim Del Vall
 e Garcia, will also cover how and when to save seeds for next season (
 and to donate back to the seed library!). Seed saving is an important 
 part of garden care, as it helps you plan for next season and maintain
  the heritage and biodiversity of seeds – it’s nice to know exactl
 y what you’re planting and eating.\nSeeds will once again be availab
 le through the seed library and our donation box will be on hand if yo
 u have some you’d like to share with others in the community. Althou
 gh the event is free, registration is required either online or in per
 son at the library branch. Light refreshments will be served.\n\nFor m
