DESCRIPTION:Village Vancouver, the EYA and a handful of eager seedkeep
 ers are hosting the first of several SEED SAVERS GARDEN FORUMS, on Sun
 day, April 3rd, 1 – 3pm in the EYA Youth Garden, at the far eastern 
 end of Cottonwood Community Garden (the corner of Raymur and Malkin).\
 n \nWe wanted to host this event in order to bring together experienc
 ed seedkeepers and beginners, in order to facilitate an accelerated, c
 ommunity capacity building in the skill of saving seeds.\n \nWith the
  current insecurity of our global food system, the relentless encroach
 ment of genetic modification into commercial seeds and the glorious re
 turn of urbanites to growing their own food right in their own communi
 ties, we need to re-learn this ancient, time-honoured human practice o
 f saving seed.\n \nWould you be willing to make time out of your busy
  schedules and come join us for a couple hours in the garden – to sh
 are what you know, ask your questions and get to know others in the co
 mmunity who are inspired to do the same things that you are?\n \nFor 
 this first meeting, we have loosely set a few themes to guide conversa
 tion. However, this is NOT a workshop – rather a forum for discussio
 n and the sharing of knowledge. We would like to talk about:\n \nPLAN
 NING THE GARDEN FOR SEED SAVING (Soil building, space requirements, is
 olation and cross-pollination, garden design strategies, collective-mu
