DESCRIPTION:Do all of you know about this rally (see below) ? I will b
 e going with both my boys. I feel it is very important that we attend 
 these sorts of things to show this govt we are paying attention and wi
 ll not stand by complacently as they hurt our kids through massive edu
 cation cuts. The whole premise- that there is just no money for educat
 ion- is really offensive to me, esp in light of all the recent spendin
 g on the Games. It is clearly a matter of priorities, and the Provinci
 al Govt simply must fully fund education.\nI also think that protestin
 g can indeed make a difference...after all, if it did not, we would no
 t even have a Queen Elizabeth Annex school today; they tried to close 
 it down two yrs ago but we managed to keep it open through a massive p
 arent effort.\nIf you cannot attend the rally, consider writing a lett
 er to Gordon Campbell, your MLA's and the trustees of the VSB...for th
 at matter, attend the rally and write a letter, if you possibly can.\n
