DESCRIPTION: \nCity Repair began in Portland, Oregon with the idea th
 at localization - of culture, of economy, of decision-making - is a ne
 cessary foundation of sustainability. By reclaiming urban spaces to cr
 eate community-oriented places, we plant the seeds for greater neighbo
 rhood communication, empower our communities and nurture our local cul
 ture.\nOur projects include the annual Village Building Convergence, w
 here people gather at neighborhood sites throughout Portland to engage
  in intersection repair, natural building, and other forms of placemak
 ing. We also host Earth Day.\nThroughout the year we educate the commu
 nity with workshops on all forms of sustainability and offer the inval
 uable placemaking guidebook and one-on-one consulting for those who wa
 nt to repair their own neighborhood. If you are interested in helping
