 urse with a hands-on focus on Permaculture strategies for small organi
 c farms. Hosted\nby the Richmond Sharing Farm, a community farm and or
 chard project at the\nbeautiful Terra Nova heritage farm site, with oc
 ean on one side and the\nFraser River on the other side, in West Richm
 ond.\nPermaculture is applying ecological principles to human challeng
 es, meeting our needs in ways that leave our environment and our commu
 nities healthier,\nmore abundant, and more resilient than we found the
 m. With topics from\necological gardening, Permaculture for small farm
 s, and natural building to\ncommunity food sovereignty, urban retrofit
 ting, and soil and water\nconservation and remediation, this 72-hour c
 ourse will combine classroom\ninstruction with hands-on practica and r
 eal life design challenges on a\nworking organic farm and community or

  Erin Innes is a Certifed Permaculture Designer based in Vancouver (Co
 ast Salish Territory) and a recognized Permaculture Teacher with the U
 rban Permaculture Guild based in Berkeley, California. She has a long 
 history in community activism and popular education. She has been deep
 ly involved in grassroots food justice work, through the international
  Food Not Bombs movement and as a volunteer and worker on many organic
  farms and community-based farming and farming education projects.\n\n
