  Cabaret is a unique collaboration between five Salt Spring Island wri
 ters, performers, musicians and activists — Nomi Lyons, Murray Reiss
 , Ahava Shira, Phil Vernon and Maggie Ziegler — who bring together p
 assionate singing and songwriting, intimate story-telling, powerful pe
 rformance poetry and exuberant musical theatre. “A cleverly written,
