 ublic screening of ‘Money and Life’ on Wednesday, September 18, 20
 13.\nThe screening takes place at the Surrey City Centre Library, 1035
 0 University Drive, in the Dr. Ambedkar Room, 4th Floor. Doors open at
  6:00pm, screening starts at 6:30pm. The screening will be followed by
  a community dialogue about a local currency project underway in Surre
 y.\n‘Money and Life’ is a passionate and inspirational essay-style
  documentary that that asks a provocative question: can we see the eco
 nomic crisis not as a disaster, but as a tremendous opportunity? This 
 cinematic odyssey connects the dots on our current economic pains and 
 offers a new story of money based on an emerging paradigm of planetary
  well-being that understands all of life as profoundly interconnected.
 \n‘Money and Life’ raises awareness about the role of local curren
 cies in creating more sustainable and equitable economic systems. The 
 movie will be followed by dialogue about a local currency project unde
 rway in Surrey. Linda Prai, a Surrey resident, has been researching lo
 cal currency projects across the country and is exploring options for 
 what might be a good fit for Surrey. Come and hear her ideas and share
  some of your own!\nThis event is organized by the Village Surrey Tran
 sition Initiative and co-sponsored by Surrey Libraries and the Surrey
