 ).\n\nMike is well known in Canada and internationally as a practition
 er, author, educator, and leader in the field of Community Economic De
 velopment and the social economy.\nIn his writings and talks, he often
  weaves a diverse array of topics such as local food systems, energy s
 ufficiency, affordable housing and land reform, low-cost financing and
  monetary reform, and democratic ownership together within a tapestry
