DESCRIPTION:Introductory workshop. Not everyone has access to garden s
 pace in the ground, but if you have a balcony, you can grow some of yo
 ur own food - and it's easier than you think!\nTopic include: how to m
 ake the most of small gardening spaces, vertical gardening, options fo
 r containers, what to look for in good quality soil, companion plants,
  high density gardens and compact veggie varieties, and shade tolerant
  varieties.\nAs part of this workshop, we'll plant a demonstration gar
 den for the use of the Marpole Place Kitchen where community meals are
  made.\nThe garden will also be used to teach children about growing f
 ood and provide inspiration to community members to grow their own edi
 ble gardens.\nPlease bring lunch, a pen, gloves and if it looks like i
 t might rain, raingear.\nFREE.\nTaught by Jen Clark. Limited space, ad
