DESCRIPTION:Marpole Neighbourhood Food Network started last Spring and
  is co-sponsored by Village Vancouver and Marpole Place Neighbourhood
  House.\nPlease join us at our 1st ever potluck and visioning session 
 for an afternoon of good food and stimulating dialogue, and to learn 
 about some of our upcoming workshops and other activities.\nThis Summe
 r we held Balcony gardening and Worm Composting workshops which were w
 ell attended. (Thanks, Jen for your great facilitation!). We harvested
  veggies and herbs from the demonstration balcony garden for our Thurs
 day night dinners and our summer camp meals.\nWe held two canning work
 shops and have been using the jam that was preserved for our community
  breakfasts. We also tabled information about the Network at Marpole C
 ommunity Day, Main Street Car Free Day and Connecting Marpole Day, 
 and gave out food, herb and flower seeds and composting information to
  gardeners.\nHear what’s going on in VV's Neighbourhood Food Networ
 ks and in other NFN's, and through Marpole Place Food Programs, and
  how Village and others are helping start and build new networks in
  Vancouver.\nThen explore how a local, neighbour and community-driven 
 food network could help create a more food just, resilient, sustainab
 le, and healthy Marpole. \nWe want MNFN to be broadly inclusive of 
 community food activities in Marpole and invite individuals, families
 , community groups, community gardens, businesses, service providers, 
 and other involved in food related activities to consider getting invo
 lved. \nSo let us know what you're up to and how you can contribute t
