DESCRIPTION:Share a free meal with neighbours, prepared by a neighbour
 . Last year, almost 200 people participated at several spaghetti night
 s and the community-wide celebration.\nOur next DISN is on Saturday, 
 January 17th. Hosted by Jessica, this meal is aimed at neighbours liv
 ing within 2-3 blocks of 7th and Balsam, but is open to all. Jessica 
 will cook a vegetarian meal, which will include a salad and butternut 
 squash soup, incorporating freshly harvested (picked this afternoon!) 
 carrots, parsnips, and sunchokes from the Kits Village Vancouver Colla
 borative Garden. Yum!\nPlease RSVP. There's room for 10 people.THIS DI
 NNER IS NOW FULL.\n\nDifferent Kits Villagers and other VVers around t
 he Westside will host several spaghetti nights in the upcoming weeks a
 nd months, culminating in a  community-wide celebration. Anyone can h
 ost and participate, and hosts (who live west of Granville, on Vancouv
 er's Westside) are eligible to receive $5/person for meal costs. Hosts
  track where the ingredients come from, and we collate how local our e
 ating habits are and how spaghetti nights help connect neighbours, and
  report on our findings at the community gathering.\nMuch of the food 
 will be grown and sourced locally. Hosts who wanting to \"grow their o
 wn DISN dinner\" can always obtain free seeds from a KV Seed library, 
 and then can recycle any plastic containers at the monthly Kits Villag
 e Plastic Recycling Depots, and compost the food scraps at the KV gard
 en or take them to one of our weekly food scrap drops spots.\nBy the w
 ay, they’re called Drop-in “Spaghetti” nights, because many of t
 he ones we've held in the past have involved serving spaghetti, but th
 ey can really involve any foods - for instance, Drop-in Rutabaga Night
