DESCRIPTION:Village Vancouver Eldergreens presents this workshop cover
 ing the basics of planning, preparing and starting a food garden this 
 Spring. You'll learn some simple techniques from Rhiannon Johnson for 
 starting plants indoors and in the garden, tailored to your space. Be 
 rewarded with the taste of freshly grown veggies this season! We'll ha
 ve the community seed library present - you can get some free seeds (a
 nd other goodies) for your garden or swap or donate some seeds.\nThis 
 workshop is by donation ($0 - $10). Free for Seniors (50 and over). Re
 gister by Monday, Feb 20th here or by email: ross@villagevancouver.ca.
   \nOrganized and led by seniors, VV ElderGreens brings seniors, youth
  and others together to share food and gardening skills and wisdom thr
 ough workshops and other activities. All ages welcome, please contact

 T Located behind the Mansion, just off of NW Marine Dr, and hosted by 
 Village Vancouver, the garden includes VV’s Demonstration Permacultu
 re Garden, the WPG Preschool Garden and art/garden projects by artists
 -in-residence LocoMotoArt: Laura Lee Coles and Rob Scharein.Emphasizin
 g permaculture design elements, including a small hugelkultur, an herb
  spiral, planting pollinator attractants, and saving open pollinated s
 eeds, the garden offers fun, inclusive social, educational, culinary a
 nd cultural activities for community members. Enjoy free or low-cost W
 ednesday evening cooking, fermenting and preserving demonstrations, in
 cluding sauerkraut, kefir, and tastes of Korea and India, gardening wo
 rkshops like early summer gardening, native edibles walks and the seed
  savers club.\nIn the garden, newer gardeners garden collaboratively a
 longside more experienced gardeners at our Saturday work parties, prov
