 ar Free Vancouver Day. On Commercial Drive (Venables to North Grandvie
 w), Denman Street (Robson to Davie) downtown, all over Kitsilano (bloc
 k parties Sat  14th and Sunday), and Main Street (Broadway to 30th Av
 e--20+ blocks!), the streets come alive with literally hundreds of tho
 usands of engaged and happy people.\nIMAGINING YOUR IDEAL NEIGHBOURHOO
 D: CULTIVATING COMMUNITY RESILIENCE \nVillage won't just be on Main S
 treet at the intersection of 13th Ave - WE'LL BE THE INTERSECTION AND
  MORE! Our 20-30 tent and open space Demo Sustainable Transition Villa
 ge highlights what we and other folks are up to and typically inclu
 des neighbourhood villages (inc. Kits Village real-life demo sustaina
 ble village), bees, chickens, solar panels, seed libraries + seedling
  giveaways, permaculture, local/sharing economy resources, member p
 rojects, placemaking, homesteading, GMO info, community DIY, neighbou
 rhood food networks, drop-in spaghetti nights, potlucks, dinner groups
 , discussion salons, asset mapping, gardening/urban ag, growing advi
 ce, community/collaborative gardens, green spaces,  composting displa
 y, emergency preparedness, plastic-free zero waste kitchen display, r
 ecycling, bike maintenance, imagining possibilities for a better futu
 re, kid-oriented carpentry/art activities, refreshments, a hospitality
  suite, FUN AND CELEBRATION and more.\nWe also invite other communi
 ty groups to join us. Forming an important part of the village will be

 m leaders needed for Transportation, Setup, Breakdown, and Info Booths
