 n is received.\r\nIn this joint Village Vancouver, Marpole-Oakridge Ne
 ighbourhood Food Network, and Vancouver Arts Colloquium Society worksh
 op, we invite Dr. Lily Chunling Liu, a doctor well-versed in Chinese
  medicinal herbs and horticulture specialist, to present not only o
 n the renowned, long-standing benefits of Chinese herbs, but the pro
 blems arising from their complexity, as well as pointers on growing an
 d using them properly. \r\nWe will learn how to grow Chinese medicin
 al herbs through interactive learning games and exercises (seed/leaf
  identification, group activities), as well as introduce selected real
  herbs that can be properly and sustainably grown in this local clim
 ate without losing medicinal properties. Our goal of this project is t
 o introduce lesser known Chinese medicinal herbs in our local communit
 ies, and to a promote healthy, sustainable lifestyle and land steward
