 ue used by cultures around the world, but that has fallen into relativ
 e obscurity in modern Western cuisine. The benefits of fermentation ex
 tend beyond food preservation: fermentation improves the nutritional c
 ontent of food, improves digestibility, creates important enzymes for 
 our bodies while removing toxins and anti-nutrients from fermented foo
 ds.\nThanks to a Neighbourhood Small Grant from the Vancouver Foundati
 on, Alyssa Kohlman is offering a free workshop to introduce you to the
  joys of fermentation! In this 3-4 hour workshop, participants will le
 arn some of the history and health benefits of fermentation and fermen
 tation techniques that can be applied to a wide variety of foods. Part
 icipants will prepare two different fermented products that they will 
 be able to take home with them.\nSpace is limited to 20 participants i
 n total, so make sure to reserve your spot now! If you reserve a spot
